Yolanda Pittman Hill
Bio
Yolanda Hill is an evangelist missionary in the Church of God in Christ and currently serves in the Texas South Central Jurisdiction, Bishop Prince E.W. Bryant Sr. Lady Hill works diligently with her husband, Superintendent Dr. Charles Hill as First Lady of Norton Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ (COGIC). At the local level, she works in the areas of music & youth ministry, women affairs, and procurement services.
Yolanda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in high school. She grew up in Saints Chapel COGIC in Houston, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Benjamin Edward Boulding (her maternal grandfather). She has been a pastor’s wife since 1983 and has worked with her husband at various churches: Fairbanks COGIC, Yale Street COGIC, Open Door COGIC, Prayer Mission COGIC, Haynesville COGIC and Fort Bend COGIC. At each church, she worked in many phases of ministry including local, district and jurisdictional levels.
Missionary Hill has served in districts and jurisdictions in Houston and Austin, Texas, and the state of Louisiana. Yolanda’s “tour of duty,” as she calls it, includes:
Texas South Central Jurisdiction, (Houston, Texas) Sis. Hill served as the President of the Pastor & Ministers Wives Circle under the direction of the late Mother Eloise Law. The late Bishop N.H. Henderson, Sr. was her jurisdictional prelate.
Texas Southwest Jurisdiction, (Austin, Texas) Sis. Hill served in the local and district choirs. She was also called upon as a keynote speaker for Women’s Day programs and workshops at various churches. The late Bishop T.D. Iglehart was her jurisdictional prelate.
First Jurisdiction of Louisiana, (Headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana) Sis. Hill served in the Haynesville District as the administrative assistant to the District Missionary and district choir president. General Board Member Emeritus, Bishop Roy L.H. Winbush was her jurisdictional prelate.
Texas Southeast First Jurisdiction, (Houston, Texas) Lady Hill served as the Elect Lady in the Evangelism Department, Chairlady in the Youth Department, and as the Praise and Worship Coordinator for Send Judah First with the Jurisdictional Music Department. She was active in the Women’s Department. Bishop Rufus Kyles, Jr. was her jurisdictional prelate.
Sis. Hill has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Business Education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. She has studies toward her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Houston Graduate School of Theology in Houston, Texas. Sis. Hill is retired from the Fort Bend Independent School District. She has worked as a high school business education teacher and middle school counseling facilitator/testing coordinator.
Yolanda is a recording artist and a member of the Church of God in Christ’s International Praise Team (Send Judah First). She has released two (2) SINGLES, “It’s Morning” and “That’s Who You Are” (both by Stephen Mayberry: Songdré Productions). Her children (Jason, Deria and Jessica) are included in the background vocals along with her cousin (Keana Mayberry) and other supporters. She loves God, His people and seeks to live out her call and purpose.
